Sarah and I completed our 3rd solo projects for our Blender course. We had to made an exploded view animation of some object made of several parts. Sarah chose to model a roller blade. I recreated my childhood skateboard. As always it was a lot of fun and I think we both learned a lot.

We had a fun trip to California for Thanksgiving! Here are some recent pictures of Kahlan.  

We took Kahlan to the zoo today. It was a little chilly going in November but we had fun with Kahlan. She got excited seeing the animals especially the lions, tigers and peacocks.

Tinker Bell Kahlan's Tinker Bell costume. Sarah and I carved 3D pumpkins last night using Blender. It was not as messy as carving real pumpkins but still lots of fun! The scary results:

We decided to get some family pictures done this month. Kahlan was kind of terrified in the studio but they still are pretty good.

Sarah and I have completed our second projects for our Blender online course. We had fun making our own robots! Here are some resulting images: Here is Sarah's awesome 'companion' robot: Here is my 'farmer' robot:

Sarah and I have been taking a free online course to learn how to make 3D art in Blender . It's been a LOT of fun. Here are the finished products of our first solo projects. We were supposed to make some kind of jewelry. Sarah made this cool ring. I made this celtic crown.

Kahlan has been entertaining us and others with her dancing. Throw on some Abba or Michael Jackson and she will start bouncing.

Kahlan decided this week that she was ready to start walking! She's really a pro now after just a few days and has no problem walking from room to room.

For the 4th of July we let Kahlan play in her new pool for a while. She loves being in the water.

Kahlan started standing up on her own this week. So we've been busy making the house more kid proof.

Kahlan has her first teeth coming in! Two on the bottom showed up last week and two top teeth started coming in this weekend.

After weeks of scooting backwards and rolling around Kahlan has gotten the hang of crawling forwards.

When Kahlan is tired she complains by making her engine sounds.

8 Months Kahlan has been doing more voice experiments. Here is a sample:

We've been teaching Kahlan to wave and she's starting to catch on. At the same time she was entertaining us with funny faces...

Kahlan has been practicing her laughs for us. She is getting good at her expressions and high squeals! :) Kahlan practicing her laughs!

For those electronic music fans out there, I've been enjoying Tycho's Dive album immensely. It's great ethereal background music similar in flavor to Ulrich Schnauss. This track is free on Amazon.

At 5 months Kahlan is now trying solid foods. So far squash and carrots are winners.
