Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone is safe and enjoying lots of Turkey and marshmallow yams. We will be enjoying the day in Utah this year. Juniper started eating squash and sweet potato mush this week. She's loving it and ready for turkey! Here are some fall pics... Click to see album

In the Fall

Fall is here. We're about done with our food preserving, just finishing up our grape juice this week. We had a fun visit from Aunt Heather last weekend. Juniper is getting big and so cute. Kahlan is very helpful around the house and, as always, very entertaining. ;) Click to see album

Happy Canners

It was a week packed with food preserving. Our garden has been in full swing with peppers, peaches, apples, cucumbers, beans and tomatoes. We made peach jam for the first time and it came out really sweet. We also made our first apple pie from our little apple tree! Saturday's product In one week we did:  7 batches of peach jam,  2 batches of jalapeno peach jam,  1 batch of lime pickles,  1 batch of pickled peppers,  a double batch of tomato sauce with meatballs, and 1 apple pie Of course we had little helpers ;)

Juniper At 2 Months

Juniper is 2 months old now and steadily getting chunkier, which is great. Thank goodness she's starting to sleep more at night! She has more of a routine now and seems to like us. Sometimes she even coos, smiles and politely says 'feed me'. She enjoys baths, drinking milk and sleeping. She's really cute and we like having her around.

Juniper Gets Blessed

We had a baby blessing on July 31st for Juniper Sarah McAlister. She got to wear the same dress Sarah and Kahlan were blessed in. Juniper screamed through the whole blessing but she still got it. It was fun having lots of visitors that week! The little angel Kahlan plays ball A smile for Grandma Mimi

Kahlan Is Three!

It's hard to believe our little girl is 3 years old already! Kahlan is so smart, fun and energetic! It's just a blast having her around the house. We had all the Utah cousins over for cake and ice cream. Kahlan got a new soccer ball that she is really good at trubbling with ;) (dribbling). When Sarah asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner... Kahlan - 'corn' Sarah - 'ok, and...' Kahlan - 'rice' Sarah - 'ok, and...' Kahlan - 'chicken' So that is what we had. And we got snow-cones too.

Juniper's Landing

Our family has been blessed with another angel! Juniper Sarah McAlister was born at 11:09 am on Wednesday June 15th. She was a healthy 6 pounds and 8 oz and 19 inches long and was delivered without complication. Sarah did great. We stayed at the hospital 2 days and are glad to be back at home! We arrived at the deliver room around 2 AM Juniper said hello when she arrived She stays relatively calm in between feedings. Sometimes she makes little squeaky sounds like a mouse. Juniper came hungry and ready to eat. She dreams about feeding in her sleep and sometimes smiles. When she isn't sleeping, Juniper likes to look around. She's very adorable and has lots of pretty auburn hair. We feel so blessed to have her join our little family!

New Bunk

We've been getting ready for the arrival of Juniper (any day now). We got the little car seat out and the bassinet set up. Sarah finished Kahlan's bedspread quilt. We got a bunk bed for Kahlan and set it up in her room. She's been loving it!

Animal Blender Projects

Sarah and I are still working at completing our Blender course. We have finally completed our animal animation projects this week so we have to show them off. It involved quite a bit of work including: modeling, material creation, lighting, rigging and animation. I think we had fun and we learned a lot along the way. Sarah decided to create a Dalmatian (no surprise) and it turned out really good. I created a bunny (that knows Kung-Fu). Behind the scenes Bunny with fur Improved fur

New Bling

We got a bag of old jewelry at the thrift store (DI) last night for Kahlan. It was to celebrate the fact that she's now out of diapers! She's been having fun with her new bling!

California Adventuring

We had a great road trip to California this month. It was another long drive for us but we had fun staying in a Winnemucca Nevada hotel. Kahlan had fun riding the 'aligator' up to our room. We enjoyed some relaxing warm days in Turlock and a few misty days near the coast at Point Reyes. Kahlan saw the ocean for the first time! Heather took us to some beautiful spots. My google phone made this cool video montage for me. Thanks google phone!

Funny Faces

Kahlan has been entertaining us with some new funny faces lately.

Piggy Power

Kahlan was so excited to get to wear pig tails for the first time yesterday to church. She asked for them again first think this morning!
