It's been a cold winter since the start of 2025. We've just been staying warm inside. This year we've been studying the
D&C and church history. To go along with that we planned a Spring break trip to Nauvoo, IL. We leave this Saturday. It will be a lot of driving but we'll see a bunch of sites along the way. Sarah finished writing her fantasy novel! It's a fun read and she's working on getting it published.
The kids have been awesome. They've been into Legos a lot. We have dozens of sets and they can spend hours working on their assemblies. They are also all great singers and artists. Recently they've been into the Matilda (Netflix) and Zombies (Disney) soundtracks. They also did a funny rendition of Moana together one day, kind of like a little play. They've also been having fun playing a video game called Vampire Survivors on the Switch.
Kahlan participated in her school play this year Alice in Wonderland. She was part of the ensemble and was in 6 shows. She's had a busy year also being apart of orchestra, student council and multi-cultural club. She also started Young Womens this year! Kahlan also participated in the 'Great Shake' activity at school recently. She made it to the 5th round, got 4th place and gave a short speech in front of the school.
Juniper participated in the school Book Battles along with Kahlan. She finished all the required reading for it. Lately she really wants a pet bunny.
Paul lost two teeth this month. He was a little upset when he woke up missing one tooth and was never able to find it. Luckily the tooth fairy still came.
Penny is turning 5 this week! It's a big birthday because she get's two vitamins, gets to stay up until 8pm, sit in a booster seat and go on daddy-daughter dates! We're going to take you to Penny Anne's Cafe again on her birthday. I recently started teaching her CTR5 class in primary and that has been a blast for me. She's getting good with her letters and sounding out small words.
