Creepers & Canyons

Halloween was fun this year in Utah. Trick-or-treating was pleasant, not freezing cold. We did our usual pumpkin carving and the kids made some interesting original designs. Kahlan stayed home from trick-or-treating for the first time and handed out treats.

Juniper and Kahlan were pirates. Paul was a Minecraft creeper. Penny was Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters. They marched in the Tolman Elementary costume parade again. Activities included a Trunk-or-Treat at the school, a chili soup night at Grandma Musser's with the cousins and a Chili cook-off dinner at the church. At the church party there was a contest to guess the number in a big jar of saltwater taffy candies. Paul guessed the closest and won.

Fall seemed to have come a bit late this year. We went on a hike up City Creek Canyon yesterday with the kids on scooters. There was an explosion of color there. We went to pick our grapes this year but realized that the birds had eaten the few we had. So no grape jelly this year. Next week is the kid's primary program at church. Looking forward to that and visiting California this month!
